Earliest known example of the Range Lens. Ca 1870 made by Chance Brothers, Birmingham, England. Note the elaborate cast iron base and the overall presentation. Some broken segments but still presents well. This lens goes well together with the other 1927 lens in the Museum collection and should be purchased as a pair.
