Life Saving Service Black Powder Can

Extremely rare original USLSS Black powder can issued to the United States Life Saving Service by the DuPont company Ca 1879. Label is mostly intact and clearly legible. This can would have held the Black powder used to fire the Lyle Gun. It is one of the rarest USLSS items to date and this one is approximately 8" tall and 4" in diameter with cap intact. Wonderful go - with for your Lyle Gun display.
