USLSS Coston Flare Handle
Description
The rarest part of the USLSS artifacts are the Wood handle Coston Flare holders. This one was found at the bottom of 50 years of junk inside a Francis Life car out back of a Coast Guard station. Made in Ca 1875, it is constructed of Brass and wood with a spring loaded brass plunger to fire the flare. Approximatly 13 " long and in VG condition.
