Chance Brothers 4th order Lighthouse Oil Lamp

Rare Chance Brothers Brass Lighthouse Lens oil lamp, Ca 1880. Messengers No2 Font and all ther and still functional including glass Chimmney. Outer brass supports for colored lens. This lamp was used in Lighthouse Fresnel Lenses as the means of illumination until the arrival of the newer aceteleyne gas burners about 1915. It is made entirely of brass, and features the Makers Tag of Chance Brothers, Lighthouse engineers.
