Brass & Painted Cast Iron Steam Engine Dipstick

A Rare and Very Unique Brass & Painted Cast Iron Dipstick and Storage Pedestal. What a Show-Piece!

Origination date and manufacturer unknown. No makers mark found. Engraved within the brass footing of pedestal is "MADE IN USA, a "1", and what appears to be a "U" letter or symbol. Just a very nice looking article! Beautiful hand-polished brass handle, stick and mounts. The storage pedestal has been powder painted in a nautical blue color. A very rich combination for extraordinary display.

The condition is very pleasing. There are minor scratches, discoloration and dents on the item, none of which it is the opinion take away from it's wonderful presentation. I hope the photos shared will provide you with an honest review.

Approximate Measurements:

Overall length/height, from bottom of storage pedestal to the top of handle - 24 3/8ths inches

Storage Ped 21 1/4ths inches in length/height by 1 1/2 inches in diameter

Brass Stick - 21 inches in length

Brass Handle - 3 inches in height by 3 1/2 inches in width

From where the actual stick connects to the shaft it measures 9 inches in length.

Item weighs approx. 7 lbs.
