Vintage US Gauge Co Main Steam Engine Gauge

Nice Brass Vintage U.S. GAUGE CO of N.Y. MAIN STEAM Double Spring Gauge. Ca 1900's

This is a nice size steam pressure gauge, show's well with brass casing surrounding the white dial face. Printed and very legible through the clear glass is the "U.S. GAUGE N.Y." famous makers mark, "MAIN STEAM" printed just below the indicator center. Just below this..."DOUBLE SPRING". And along the very top of the white face you find "8 1/2 AD898" (photo 11). As the photos display this gauge has many scratches, dents and discolorations from it's years in service. If someone had time and the desire they could further restore this to a very crisp and regal appearance if the genuine patina is not to their liking.

For the collector...this would sure make for a wonderful addition to any nautical, locomotive industry, or U.S. GAUGE CO. collection!
