USLHE Oil Warmer
This is an alcohol burner Ca 1860 clearly marked on the bottom with the USLHE and the makers stamp of BURROWS METAL MFG. CO NY. The burner was used to warm the oil for easier lighting and to facilitate flow. These types of Pre-burners were also used to warm the Bunsen on the early IOV lamps that vaporized the oil into the vent hood of the burner flow chamber. Incredible one of a kind find. Never saw another one anywhere.
